NORFOLK ISLAND GOLF CLUB OPEN TOURNAMENTS
There are a number of tournaments held at Norfolk Island Golf Club which draw visitors from both Australia and New Zealand. The following is a list of open tournaments open to visitors of other clubs a current Australian or New Zealand handicap. Please make sure you have the correct year as we are constantly updating the dates of these tournaments. | NIKON CARNIVAL OF GOLF |

10th, 12th & 13th February 2009
This tournament is always loads of fun. It has a real summer atmosphere with the emphasis often being on having a good time as much as good golfing. The tournament is a 54 hole event. The ‘Carnival’ is almost always assured of good weather and although we are in the middle of summer the temperatures very rarely rise above the mid 20s. Entry includes a ticket to the welcome and presentation evenings, weekly green fees and pull buggy hire and tournament entry.

| VETERANS TOURNAMENT |
|
17th, 19th & 20th February 2009
This tournament started very successfully in 1991. The Veterans Tournament is almost always booked out so don’t delay. Participants must be 40 years or over and there are three age divisions. There are Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to be won for the best gross in each section as well as a huge prize table of locally orientated prizes. Book early to avoid disappointment. Entry fee includes a ticket to the presentation BBQ or fish fry, weekly green fees and tournament entry.

| BURNT PINE TRAVEL EASTER TOURNAMENT |

11th & 12th of April 2009
This tournament is extremely popular and is held during a very busy time for Norfolk Island, so it is best to book early to avoid disappointment. The Easter Tournament boasts a splendid array of trophies and prizes. Entry fee includes a ticket to the presentation fish fry or BBQ, weekly green fees and tournament entry.

| 2 CHIMNEYS WINES BOUNTY TOURNAMENT |

This 36 hole open tournament is guaranteed to attract a large field. It is held around the time of the Bounty Day celebrations which is a very popular time on Norfolk Island. The tournament is concluded with a presentation fish fry or Barbecue.

This tournament is without a doubt the highlight of the golfing calendar. The Golf Classic attracts Professional Golfers from Australia and New Zealand along with a number of overseas and local amateur entries. It is important to confirm your entry well in advance for this very popular event. Entry fee includes a ticket to welcome and presentation functions, weekly green fees, pull buggy hire and tournament entry. Overseas and local sponsorship packages are available with the added inclusion of advertising benefits, exclusive entry into the sponsor’s only hospitality tent and sponsor’s only Pro Am.

20th & 21st December 2008 - SCHWEPPES CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT
This tournament was inaugurated in 1975 and is a very popular event on the golfing calendar. As the tournament is in the middle of the peak holiday season it is always assured of a good if not full field. The business community gets right behind this tournament resulting in having fantastic prizes up for grabs. Entry fee includes a ticket to the presentation fish fry or barbecue, green fees and tournament entry.
