This tournament was inaugurated in 1975 and is a very popular event on the golfing calendar. As the tournament is in the middle of the peak holiday season it is always assured of a good if not full field. The business community gets right behind this tournament resulting in having fantastic prizes up for grabs. Entry fee includes a ticket to the presentation fish fry or barbecue, green fees and tournament entry.

THE GOVERNOR'S CUP
2nd, 4th & 5th November 2010
The Governor's Cup is a new event held at Norfolk Island Golf Club with the 2010 event being the fourth held. It is a unique pairs event which combines 4 Ball Best Ball Stableford, 2 Person Ambrose and 4 Ball Aggregate Stableford over the three days to give an exciting format and one which all grades of players can be competitive in. A point scoring system is used to determine your place in the field which means that that only the points you have accumulated on previous days carry over - not your score.
Governor's Lodge Resort are the hosts for the event with the Welcome evening and Gala Presentation Dinner both being held at this award winning Hotel. Veterans Tournament 15th, 17th, 18th February 2011
This tournament started very successfully in 1991. The Veterans Tournament is almost always booked out so don’t delay. Participants must be 40 years or over and there are three age divisions. There are Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to be won for the best gross in each section as well as a huge prize table of locally orientated prizes. Book early to avoid disappointment. Entry fee includes a ticket to the presentation BBQ or fish fry, weekly green fees and tournament entry.

This tournament is without a doubt the highlight of the golfing calendar. The Golf Classic attracts Professional Golfers from Australia and New Zealand along with a number of overseas and local amateur entries. It is important to confirm your entry well in advance for this very popular event. Entry fee includes a ticket to welcome and presentation functions, weekly green fees, pull buggy hire and tournament entry. It is a 2 day event that has a large local contingent and is one that all players like to win but more importantly, have a great time playing in.
